MARS Child Diagnostic Assessment

This broad assessment is intended to assess a child or adolescent’s intellectual functioning, achievement, and mental health.

Physicians should refer individuals for the MARS Child Diagnostic Assessment if they suspect the child or adolescent may be experiencing mental health issues, intellectual disabilities, and/or learning challenges. Suspicion can arise from patient complaints, family complaints, or the physician’s own observations.

The MARS Child Diagnostic Assessment consists of a standardized set of the most valid and reliable assessments available for measuring the mental health and intellectual functioning of children and adolescents. The MARS Child Diagnostic Assessment includes testing and a clinical interview.

MARS Child Optimize Treatment Assessment

The MARS Child Optimize Treatment Assessment is used to assess the efficacy of treatment and the progression of the disease since the last assessment.

Often children and adolescents have difficulty providing an accurate report on treatment efficacy. The MARS Child Optimize Treatment Assessment provides the physician with objective information about how the client’s functioning has changed since beginning the treatment or since the last assessment. If the results indicate that the treatment is not optimal, the physician can use this information to adjust the treatment regimen.

Physicians should refer individuals for the MARS Child Optimize Treatment Assessment after diagnosis if medication is prescribed.
